The Skira Family Trio is comprised of Oksana Skira on piano, Khrystyna Skira on flute, and Marta Skira on violin. This mother-daughters trio is based in Toronto and have been performing together at various cultural events, holidays, private parties, weddings, and recitals for over 6 years.
In addition to performing, Oksana is an in-demand piano teacher, running both Khrysmar Music Studio and Da Capo Academy of Music.
She introduced Khrystyna and Marta to musical instruments at a very early age. Both took lessons with several private teachers, who encouraged them to pursue music as a profession.
Marta served as a concertmaster for the strings orchestra at a Regional Arts Program in Etobicoke with the TCDSB.
Current member of the Metropolitan Winds, and former principal flute of the Toronto Youth Wind Orchestra, Khrystyna loves to perform surrounded by other musicians. She has toured and performed with TYWO in the GTA, Whistler, BC., and Spain.
